Instructions — virtual filing

Submit your return through the online platform

Virtual filing allows you to send questionnaires and records without travelling. Before you begin, confirm that you selected the correct file type and gather the slips, receipts and information that may not appear in government portals.

  1. Open the platform using the sign-in form embedded on this page and create or access your file.
  2. Confirm eligibility for the selected service. A corporation, trust, non-resident or international situation may require a different process.
  3. Complete the questionnaires and describe changes during the year, including employment, self-employment, property, investments, family, moving, immigration or emigration.
  4. Upload legible copies of the requested records. Use clear file names and avoid sending several versions of the same document without explanation.
  5. Answer follow-up questions from the professional reviewing the file. The return can only be prepared from the facts and evidence actually available.
  6. Review the result and electronically sign the required filing authorizations. The return can then be transmitted to the relevant tax authorities.

For a preparation checklist, see how to prepare an online tax return. If virtual filing is not appropriate, compare the other delivery methods or contact our team.
